We [the UK Government's Department for Business and Trade] are seeking views on the application from Consumer Scotland to be designated as a super-complainant under the Enterprise Act 2002.
This consultation closes at 11:59pm on 30 October 2025.
A super-complainant has the right to make a 'super-complaint' where they consider there is a feature, or combination of features of a market in the UK that is, or appears to be, significantly harming the interests of consumers.
Consumer Scotland's annual report and accounts for the past two years provide supporting evidence that it is managed, controlled and acts independently, impartially and with complete integrity.
Further information on and guidance on the super-complaint designation process can be found in GOV.UK's guidance for bodies seeking designation as super-complainants.
